New Zealand, Auckland – Friday 16 March, 2007 – Slingshot is asking tertiary students to pucker up – to ready themselves for the chance to kiss goodbye their student loan. Only two weeks remain for students to sign up for Slingshot’s broadband or dial-up internet packages and have the chance to win a whopping $5,000 electronic entertainment package – complete with laptop, digital camera, mobile phone, MP3 player and an Xbox. The winner then has a one in 50 chance of winning the ultimate $50,000 prize from the Slingshot Winning Wall.

“Reliable broadband at affordable prices is what students demand and that’s why Slingshot is a great fit with this market,” said Mark Callander, General Manager Sales and Marketing for Slingshot. “The competition is a fantastic opportunity for us to ease the burden of being a student; be it wiping out a loan, planning that big OE or getting geared up for entering the workforce.

“The campaign has also been fun to put together with many of the staff at Slingshot featuring in the creative and puckering up. We had a long queue of volunteers to make the final cut!”
